I'll be the first to admit I am hardly a tea connoisseur, but this tea is simply dreadful. Did I expect too much from a Darjeeling that sells for $34 a pound? Okay, to be fair, it's not completely undrinkable, but then again neither is the stuff Lipton sells in flow-through bags. I'll try #140 next, it seems to be getting better reviews.

I agree with Gregory above. This is not a very good FF darjeeling. I bought this one because the house blend of 2nd flush was fantastic. I have reordered it many times. But this one, well, I'm not even drinking it.

For the price it is a solid tea, but it tends to get bitter quickly (2 min. max) and is a bit weak/light in flavor. With premium estate FFD teas being fairly affordable anyway, I find the enjoyment/price ratio far better with higher priced FFDs.

I do not understand what made other reviewers so excited about this tea. It absolutely lacks the special first flush delicacy that makes first flush Darkeelings so different from anything else. And unless I use twice as much tea leaves as they recommend (that is, 2 teaspoons per cup rather then one), I do not even get a feeling that I drink lose tea but hot water. Not a good deal at all -- either spend more and get real first flush, or buy the most basic Darjeeling that does not have "First Flush" in its name to inflate the price.

For all of you Darjeeling snobs out there, don't let the low price of this tea fool you. It is very pleasant, with nice body and a discernable minty aroma (as the description suggests). An excellent value and an excellent cuppa!

This really is a good everyday tea. I have it with lunch at work as one of my "teas in rotation." It's one to look forward to as part of a variety. And lately with breakfast I blend it with one of various assams. Just received another quarter pound in my lastest order.

Reviewer: Mike,
Let me second the other two comments about this tea. For the money, this tea is a steal. My favorite everyday tea.
