Not as floral as some of the other Darjeelings, but a piquant, nutty tea that grows on you. Although the brewing instructions sticker on the bag says to use a "heaping" teaspoon, I find that a level teaspoon is less overwhelming and brings out its subtle qualities. (The Centennial Goomtee First Flush S992 is also very good and perhaps a little smoother).

This tea has a subtly floral fragrance. The astringency makes it "dry" without verging on bitterness. Altogether it's refreshing and enjoyable.

The Goomtee 2004 is very fresh and flowery with just the right amount of pungency. My first Goomtee tasting, so I can't compare to other years but it is one of my favorite FF Darjeelings!
