309 Ceylon Wewesse FOP (UVA) [HOME] All Customer ReviewsAverage Customer Review: Write an online review and share your thoughts with other customers. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Jane , Swart , Charlotte ,NC July 18, 2008 This is a pleasant enough tea, but I'm not finding anything spectacular about it. It's very light and refreshing as an iced tea, but I will use a LOT more tea next time I brew it. Quite smooth. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, NORTH READING,MA September 26, 2007 I'm a fan of strong Assam teas, but I'm not disappointed with the body of this Ceylon. It has enough body to give a full-mouth feel, yet has a nice sweetness to it as well. Stays smooth even if accidentally over-brewed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, CHICAGO,IL November 12, 2006 My husband loves this ceylon. We agree it tastes a bit like roses, and also has some chocolate/bicuity notes. It is extremely fragrant and excellent with sugar or honey, but not with milk (like other ceylons). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Lisa , Conrad , STRATFORD ,CT September 12, 2006 Very good tea. It is smooth tasting with a slight fruity taste to it. It has a medium body. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, Belmont ,CA August 26, 2006 Revisiting my sample, I have to amend my prior stingy review. I had a preconceived expectation, based on past experience of a different, more pungent Uva tea. (and maybe dead taste buds that day too?) Now I really like this! Bright and tasty. There is a definite sweetness, plus a dash of pepper and a wisp of lemon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: ROBERT M, HALPERIN, CHAMPAIGN,IL August 25, 2006 I found this tea to have very little body or taste. I am working my way through it by using it for iced tea and by blending it with some Assam for breakfast. It is very disappointing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, Belmont ,CA July 25, 2006 Sample tasting. I expected a more assertive flavor. Not as brisk and refreshing as I expected. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Mr. Chumbley, This tea was used in a study because of its high level of polyphenols! I expect this tea would be good for those who enjoy ceylon, but also enjoy strong-tasting teas. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: matt in charlotte, this tea availed the most delightful suprise i think i've known. i bought it for a new milk and sugar afternoon tea, but after discovering it's self-sufficient magic, i couldn't bring myself to add a thing. a very spare teaspoon per cup, steeped for 3 minutes- not more- yields a medium/full bodied, slightly lemony ceylon with an extraordinary honeysuckle affect. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Harold, While a flavorful tea, it had a little bit too much astringency for my taste. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: adam in DC, I really like this one. I've tried #304 and #318 and neither of them brewed anything as strong as I like. One level teaspoon, three minutes, some milk and sugar, and that's one great cup of tea. ![]() |
