This is an obvious orange pekoe, but with a smoothness not normally seen in your average orange pekoe tea. The dry leaves are beautiful to look at, and the wonderful cocoa aroma got me anticipating my first cup. The leaves, after brewing, have a surprising lemony aroma, which is carried into the cup of tea. I'm looking forward to trying it iced.

This is the first review I've posted here, but this tea has truly impressed me (not to mention everyone I’ve had try it). The site’s description of it is spot on. The tea brews a lighter than expected cup, and I think it fairly mild. It has a characteristic lemony quality. But it also possesses a distinctive cocoa flavor, reminiscent of that which you might expect to find in a high-end China black tea (generally my favorites). Combined with the amazingly low price, this is quite possibly the best value I've discovered through SpecialTeas. But perhaps where this tea truly shines is when iced; it makes the most outstanding iced tea I've ever had. It’s flavor profile translates over perfectly. And given it's price, I don't mind using it for this purpose. I highly recommend this tea, especially to fans of iced tea.

I usually enjoy a strong Assam, but 318 is a wonderful change for anyone who likes strong, assertive tea, and the price is right, too. In fact, I'd say that this has to be one of the two or three best inexpensive teas @ SpecialTeas.

This is the best Ceylon in the under $6 range. I tried all of the Ceylon samples and ended up buying a 1/2 pound of this tea. The description of the tea is very accurate. In my opinion this is one of the best bargains for the quality tea on the entire site.

Reviewer: Max,
Exactly as described. A smooth chocolaty, but gentle cup perfect for that soothing afternoon respite. I find a touch of suger brings out the flavor. The best Ceylon black I've had at this price level.

I've tried a lot of gourmet iced teas, and this is my all-time favorite. Consistently satisfying!

Reviewer: Julia L.,
I really enjoy your Kenilworth and Vithanakande Ceylons, but Dimbulla OP is my favorite! The aroma and flavor of this tea is wonderful. I hope it's back in stock soon!

Reviewer: Martin R,
To me this teas had a slight "grassy" flavor. I preferred it iced to hot.
