This tea is great. I find it hard often to drink greens without honey or the addition of some kind of herbal fruit blend but this one is smooth, drinkable and delicious all on its own!

Japanise green teas are my favorite of all types and I've tried at least a zillion of them. This totally different tasting version was quite a surprise and equally good to the best, albeit at a much lower price. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice tea, especially considering the price. If brewed correctly (more on that in a minute), it's a great representative of the good-but-not-ridiculously-expensive greeen teas; it's mild (no bitterness or harshness), semi-sweet, slightly vegetal in a good way, with some subtle complexities to the taste that I can't figure out (which makes me want to drink more). For the money this is a very good tea and I definitely will buy more. About the brewing: the brewing instructions on this tea are obviously an error: "Use 1 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water until steaming briskly (185° F); let steep for 2½ min." It's rare to brew a true green tea longer than 2 minutes - 1.5 minutes is the norm. And 185° F is just too hot. Brew it this way and you'll have to throw the cup away, which is what I did a couple of times. I found that a temp of 170-deg and a brew time of 1.5 minutes to be about right, yielding the taste I describe above.
