Personally, I don't like greens that are too "vegetal," so this was perfectly suited to my tastes. Smooth, with a hint of plum (as described). Not a typical green, but I liked it enough to reorder. Also, tried it with a bit of orange blossom honey. Delicious! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, Pittsburgh ,PA July 18, 2006 Pretty uninteresting, I'm afraid. Very muted vegetal notes and not terribly sweet. I could possibly imagine a very faint plummy aftertaste, but I never would have guessed it a priori. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, Lafayette,CO February 22, 2006 My experience with a sampler of this tea was that it definitely fell into the "uninteresting" category- I detected no plum taste whatsoever. Perhaps I've been too spoiled with more complex/bold teas such as Silver Needle & Peony whites and Lung Ching & Pi Lo Chun greens. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Joseph , Clatworthy , Orlando ,FL October 19, 2005 Got this as a sample and am very pleased. I too found the plum taste is very subdued in the cup, but one way to enhance this plumish aroma is to put your leaves in your pot or however you make it and pour extremely hot water over the sides of the pot to increase the temperature inside, this should release the plum smell quite a bit. The taste in itself is a bit more basic but wonderful nonetheless. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Anna from Hoboken, A really pleasing tea (plus it's organic, which is great - the more organic teas on the menu, the better). Not too grassy or vegetal. Affordable, too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Eric, Very Good. I has a mild earthiness similiar to young hysson and gunpowder without the blunt taste ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Mark, A very smooth China green. And an excellent value! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Susan Kinney, An excellent tea and a top value. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: MMS, I will add to the chorus who enjoyed this tea: sweet and very pleasant. But try as we might, neither my wife nor I could taste anything even remotely resembling plum, which made the first sessions a little disappointing. But once we gave that up, we enjoyed it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Raymond Neal, I have to disagree. I think this is one of the most uninteresting teas that I have tried. It is however completely unoffensive, which is sometimes a virtue. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Seth Petersen, Although green tea is very healthy, I wasn't excited at the prospects of drinking my grass clippings. I recieved this tea as a sample and I must say it shakes all the stigma's of the typical green. It has a distinct taste and pleasent aroma. A must try! ![]() |
