One of my favorite organic teas. Very light and pleasant everyday tea, not harsh at all. Worth the affordable price for organic tea. A must have for every green tea drinker.

Quite a lovely China green. Delicate, sweet and a little toasty. This is one of my every day greens, and I consistently enjoy it. Only thing is, the brewing instructions are off. Dragonwell teas need to be brewed longer than 2 minutes, or else you'll get barely more than hot water. I agree with a previous reviewer, that 3-3.5 minutes is much better.

This is the tea I drink the most. I really appreciate its sweet, vegetal taste. It does not have much of a roasty or nutty flavor which is one reason I am so fond of it. This is a good everyday tea.

Smooth flavor at a good price. One of my first loose-leaf green teas and still one of my favorites. Saw a post where someone preferred 5 minutes brew time to get more flavor from the leaves. I also like brewing longer than the recommended 2 minutes, but I prefer more in the range of about 3 and 1/2 minutes. Gives more flavor than 2 minutes, but w/o the bitterness that occurs at 5 minutes. One should definitely experiment with water temp and brew time to get the desired flavor/strength.

A good Dragon's Well tea, in all fairness, but does not have as pronounced a chestnut or smooth nutty flavor in general as #547 which is, in my opinion, the finest of the Dragon's Well offerings from Specialteas. I also found that I had to nearly double the leaf to get the same depth of flavor that I enjoyed in #547, making my next order of 1/4 lb. of the aforementioned justified in my mind.

This has been one of my favorite green tea selections and I have been a regular for several years, actually preferring this to the more expensive variations of Lung Ching. Its character and flavor have changed with each season but it has always been very good. During 2006 the quality was very good through the summer, but then declined...and my last order in Nov 2006 was really lacking the great taste and flavor I was used to. Hopefully the 2007 harvest will bring the return of a really desirable Lung Ching.

This is hand down my favorite Green Tea. It's affordable, and a great everyday tea - but only after lunch, and in the evening. Moreover, it really contains the perfect amount of caffeine. I really have no desire to drink any other green tea - if it's not broken why fix it? It ALWAYS satisfies.

I have to say that my first impression of the aroma upon opening the package was that of my grandpa's sweet pipe tobacco. I wasn't sure if I should steep it or smoke it. Not surprisingly, it tasted pretty much like it smelled. As much as I tried, I didn't learn to love it.

Great tasting tea. It has a slight taste of nut. The smell is fantastic. It reminds me of winter time and smelling the smoke from the fireplace on a cold winter's day.

My first loose green tea experience: A former bagged tea user, I never knew that green teas steep at a lower temperature than black. Special Teas' instructions are quite explicit, and being a novice, I decide to actually use my thermometer and measuring cups to prepare my first pot of Dragon's Well. It looks like slightly tinted water. Really. Almost perfectly clear, but I am surprised and pleased to taste the lovely, un-watery feel and flavor of this tea. It's strange. It is almost sweet, almost viscous, almost filling, in a way. Very unique. Going back for a second cup, I find the tea novice that is me has forgotten to remove the tea-ball from the pot. Well, the tea is very different now. More acidic, more like overbrewed teabag tea. I think I'm going to just brew a fresh pot.

Medium-bodied and fairly sweet with a bit of vegetal flavor and a slight tangy hint. I don't taste chestnut anyway so I can't comment on that. Not a very complex tea, but entirely pleasant. More mouth-feel than other greens I've tried.

I liked this tea so much it's now my daily ration. Pleasant floral-tea aromas snakes from the steaming cup as I enjoy the Dragonwell profile of fruit-like tea mouthfeel. Aroma, flavor, and price is addicting. I greedily steep this tea just under 5 minutes to coax out its characteristics....your mileage may vary.

Wow - I have tried countless Lung Ching's and have developed quite a liking for them. They seam to be the one Green Tea I always gravitate back to. Now this one may be the best I ever had, or at the very least the absolute best value I very bought: Clean, naturally sweet green tea flavor, wonderful chestnut notes, great aftertaste and it makes a very decent second infusion (to cut down on the caffeine intake). I for one can strongly recomend this tea.

Very mild. Strange aroma, not something I have ever experienced before, somewhat earthy. Taste is not much more than hot water. Steeped for 2 ½ minutes. May need more time.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that this tea has a strong smoky aroma and somewhat smoky flavor. I've been drinking Ten Ren Dragonwell almost daily and this is quite different. There is a very slight sweetness. A fine tea in its own right but not what I was expecting.

Reviewer: Alexander Baron,
This tea is wonderful! Like the site said, it's taste is quite mellow. However, this tea is only very slightly sweet. A great buy!

Reviewer: T-bone,
Probably the best price/performance Dragon Well to be found anywhere.

Reviewer: Bubba,
This is a very nice tea, slightly sweet and unusual.

Reviewer: Lee,
We were looking for a tea as good as the Dragon's Well we've bought at the tea house in old town Shanghai. This is as good and saves a trip to China. In Shanghai they say you can re-infuse it 10 times. I don't go that far, but the second cup may be even better than the first, and the third and fourth are good as well. A good buy on a very good tea.
