Wonderful! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Nick , Young , Santa Ana ,CA April 08, 2006 Of the three teas that I have tried thus far from SpecialTeas, this is the only one that I did not care for. The tea ball unfurling into a tea "flower" is a little underwhelming. In actuality, a great deal of the leaves imediately came off and rose to the top. Usually tea leaves will sink, but these had the annoying habit of entering your mouth with every sip. I agree with the reviewer two passages down from mine that says that this is relatively flavorless. I totally agree. Before I placed it in the cup I thought it was odd that it didn't have an aroma, as all of the others were strong and inviting. Buy a sample on a whim and make your own decision, but this one was a little bland for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Mark, I just received my tea order about 15 minutes ago. I am currently drinking the sample you included which was silver spring plum. This tea is fun to brew and has a great flavor. I'm sure I'll be ordering this tea with my next purchase. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: David, Well, I ordered this tea because of the description of it being "subtle and complex". After have had several cups on two different occasions, I think that the word "subtle" is perhaps euphemistic for "flavorless". Even with two rosettes in the cup, its presence is barely noticeable. A single rosette of Sea Anemone (a much more rewarding tea) is far superior to two of the Silver Spring Plum. If you like your green tea to taste like hot water, this one's for you! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Joan Schloo, I served this tea yesterday to 5 ladies, who were delighted with the flavor, and of course, charmed by the process of placing the 'ball' in the cup, adding water, and watching it unfurl. I made the mistake of using 4 oz. Chinese cups. This tea needs a larger space to really unfurl. ![]() |
