Oh, this is a great one. The flavor is sweet as they describe. It's very pleasant. Doesn't taste anything like green tea flavor, which is not exactly the most pleasant taste, at least for me. Supposedly the benefits you get from white tea are about the same as green. And the price, is great.

This is a wonderful tea. very smooth with an excellent after taste. This tea is good for at least 3 infusions. One of my favorites!

This tea is very nice, but rather subtle for my tastes. I need to use much MORE tea than is recommended in order to enjoy it. Then I can enjoy its citrus notes from start to finish.

#557 opens with a light, tangy aroma and finishes with a gently spicy aftertaste that I found hard to pin down. I wouldn't call this tea sweet, exactly, but it's very good. An unexpected pleasure was the chocolatey hints that came out near the end of the pot, as it was cooling down. My first brush with a real white tea, and I like it.

My first experience with a white tea, and it's very interesting. Light tangy aroma, gentle flavor, and a mild finish that I can't really pin down, but ends up being just a hint of spice. Nice, and I'm looking forward to comparing it with other whites. One thing, though, this tea requires a certain amount of your attention, save it for when you can concentrate on it.

Pai Mu Tan is in my top 5 favorite teas. Subtle flavor and resilient to long brewing times when I get interrupted and forget I'm brewing tea. I'm able to get 1-3 shorter infusions after the first if I keep the first infusion under 3 minutes. The flavor is subtle enough that with a short first brewing time I don't even need sugar. While Silver Needle is the platinum standard of white teas and in my opinion best reserved for a treat, Pai Mu Tan ranks very high and is my preference for buying in quantity.

Reviewer: Chris,
I received this tea as a sample. I personally didn't like it, I followed the instructions and it turned out bitter. <br> (Comment from SpecialTeas: if this tea turns out bitter, we recommend to reduce any or all of the following: amount of leaves, water temperature, infusion time)

Reviewer: Alexander Baron,
If any white tea turns out bitter, reduce the amount of the leaves! I personally find SpecialTeas' recommendations on the amount of leaves to use very excessive - I normally use ONE heaping soup spoon of tea per six oz. cup. This gives me very delicate, complex (though not especially strong) tea.

Reviewer: Roxann,
This is my favorite white tea. The flavor is delicate and light. It's just right for that early morning wake-up. At work it's nice for that morning break and after lunch...I've been drinking this tea for about 3 years now...yum
