When I saw that my favorite jasmine tea is now organic, I instantly thought, "Hmmm...I hope this doesn't mean it won't be as good." Having tried some organic jasmine teas, I can tell you I wasn't very optimistic. Well, I was wrong to doubt this company. Apparently, when SpecialTeas does something, they do it right. The Yin Hao is at least as wonderful as before, maybe even a teensy bit better. I love that the jasmine buds have been left in and yet the jasmine scent and flavor are still quite subtle, not the least bit overpowering. And to think it's clean as a whistle!

Scott from Ohio: This is a good quality Jasmine tea, with very good aroma & flavor-very smooth. I used water at light steam, approx 160 degrees for 1.5 min., & it was not bitter. Second steep: added leaves, resteeped at slightly higer temp for 1.5 minutes. Cup was only slightly bitter but still aromatic. 3.5 stars! I would have rated it higher, but after experiencing a Yin Zhen Jasmine recently, I just couldn't. I WISH SpecialTeas would restock a Yin Zhen Jasmine, because it is a favorite of mine. Please, seriously consider this.

I agree with all the people who compare this to phoenix pearl. It was equally as good for me too. It is without the high price but also without the great presentation (I love to server those little pearls to friends. They always get a kick out of them). Also, I have bought this same tea at two local shops here, and neither were as fragrant or as rich as SpecialTeas.

I have had a cup of Jasmine tea every day for the last 12 years. Then I found your company and ordered your Jasmine Yin Hao. Incredible! Is there some way I can get the last 12 years back?

Reviewer: Ryan,
The story begins with my sister visitng Taiwan and bringing me back some jasmine tea. I loved it, and used it all within 4 months so I bought some jasmine tea at my local coffee/tea store and it was just terrible. I knew that Yin Hao was the best so after one day of seaching online, I found this site to be the cheapest and friendliest. I love the tea. Included in my order was a sample of the Jasmine Pheonix Pearls. I tried it thinking that since it was three times the cost it would be better. But no....it is nothing compared to Yin Hao!

Reviewer: entropic_rune,
Superb! Everything I want in a green jasmine: heavenly jasmine scent and flavor, not bitter or vegetal.

Reviewer: Steve S.,
This richly flavored jasmine can stand up to three infusions. The same quality as the wonderful Phoenix Pearls -- at a fraction of the price! Excellent.

Reviewer: Mark Shelor,
I consume pounds of jasmine green tea throughout the year, and Yin Hao is my favorite. This is the ideal combination of a very refined jasmine scent on a base of high-quality flavorful green tea. Comparable in aroma to the highly-regarded Phoenix Pearls, I find Yin Hao to be more satisfying overall. In my opinion, this is the best value for lovers of high-grade jasmine teas.

Reviewer: Renee,
The smell of this tea invokes all kinds of happy memories for me it is just so delightful. It maintains a light but very discernable taste that is however very susceptible to the warmth of the water used. Gives at least 3 good infusions maintaining that beautiful scent, and while some scented teas can be too sharp, this will be mellow if you don't use water that is too hot. My morning staple - the best scent to wake up to.

Reviewer: Charles and Renee,
This is the most precisely balanced jasmine we've ever had: the aroma doesn't overpower the green-tea base, and vice versa. As for price, we too agree with other comments here that this Yin Hao version is indistinguishible from the more expensive phoenix pearls version. Great value, great scent, great tea!

Reviewer: Blackhorse,
Like Jim at the top of these shared comments...no tea makes me feel as though my "prior life" was a wasted sham like this Jasmine Yin Hao. This and the #825 White Tip Earl Grey are perhaps the most significant astonishments from SpecialTeas. Both stand apart from the typical tired offerings (most of which now seem like the heavy smooch of a smelly old Aunt) yielding their sublime aroma and delicate taste like a trembling lover's first kiss. My, I think I'll have another pot!

Reviewer: Blackhorse,
As I re-read my entry above, it struck me that you might think I meant the "tired old selections" here at SpecialTeas! Egad! No, no! I meant everywhere else.

Reviewer: Elaine,
Recently back from China and hooked on Jasmine tea. I ordered samples from here and another company. This was the best and a more competetive price. Delicious. Try the Magnolia Oolong 620.
