Sout, Somerville, MA February 16, 2009 It's been a while since I've bought this tea and boy, am I glad I did. I always liked the Red Peony, but I honestly don't remember it being this good. More than just a novelty, this is an awesome tasting tea - deep, satisfying cocoa flavor is the best way I can describe it. One rosette makes a pretty decent size pot of tea and you don't have to worry in the least that it will become bitter if you leave the rosette in the pot. If you only make one cup at a time, be sure and infuse it a second time. They are also individually packed in a nice clear cello pouch, so they're very easy to carry in your purse. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, EL PASO ,TX February 01, 2006 Nice flavors, malty with a slight fruit aroma. Adjust the strength with a longer brew time--even 5 minutes is not too long. Multiple brews are not a problem. This tea is not one of the most full bodied China black teas, but that is its advantage. The somewhat subtle aroma and flavor is delicious. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: MMS, Pleasant, but I did not find this particularly flavorful. I brewed it in the cup and, while it certainly never became bitter, it also never quite opened up its flavor as I was expecting. And the second infusion was so weak as to be watery. Bit of a disappointment. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Scott from Ohio, I really enjoy this tea. The first two infusions are very good and while my third infusions have been weaker, they are still quite enjoyable. A tasty tea that is not overpowering and it is true...never bitter! Would recommend this tea and purchase again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Terry n Oklahoma, My 3rd order was just completed. Its very tasty and enjoyable visualy. The 3rd infusion is weaker than to first yet still flavorful. ![]() |
