Out of the five oolongs I tried in the Sample Collection, this was my least favorite. The gardenia aroma was simply too overwhelming, and it seemed a little astrigent. Not bad, but I will be trying a different Formosa next time.

Very good tea, tase freash and fragance. On par with the one I bought from Taiwan directly.

I received this in the oolong sampler and it was my favorite along with the Monkey Picked. I then tried some Tung Timg from another supplier and was dissapointed. I am now ordering more of this as it is a much better value than the Monkey Picked.

What a pleasant tea. It smells like you are entering a garden full of flowers. It has a light color and tastes very good.

Two notes leap out of the cup: asparagus and gardenia. (You would think they prepared this with gardenia blossoms a la jasmine tea.) Then a lovely citrusy finish. A little too exotic for my taste (I am not an oolong drinker), but I think I can understand why people take to this.

Reviewer: Carol Ann,
The jade oolong was a breath of spring in Dec. I also really enjoyed both of the new lung chings. (SpecialTeas: No. 525 and No. 547)

Reviewer: Matt,
This tea's flavor is very addicting. You've been warned. :-)

Reviewer: Anna from Hoboken,
This is an excellent quality Tung Ting. I've tried Tung Tings from other tea vendors, but this is the best one. I love its green, flowery scent -- you pick up on it from a distance. A perfect oolong! Even if you never try any other oolong, but just this one, you can rest happy!

Reviewer: Nick,
Am I in heaven? This tea is amazing. Its a honeysuckle and gardenia garden in a cup and oh so good gungfu style.

Reviewer: Steve,
Heavy body and even heavier floral notes. A good way to transition someone from black teas to lighter oxidized teas. This is very nice Tung Ting style oolong for the price.

Reviewer: Chris,
I loved this tea! It was my favorite out of the ones that I bought. Before being brewed is smells very sweet.

Reviewer: Daphne,
This tea is a winner! I downed a 6 cup teapot in less then an hour. Thankfully it brews up great for a second round. The flavor is light, fresh and utterly intoxicating.

Reviewer: Harry,
This is perhaps my favorite tea. It reminds me of when I used to walk through the mountains of southern West Virginia and come upon a whole hillside of honeysuckle. An absolute knock out!

Reviewer: Ron,
This has been my favorite tea for over 2 years, I'm still searching for another that comes even close.

Reviewer: Dale,
On my first trip to Taiwan on business I was exposed to a wonderful array of Formosa teas by the folks that I was there to visit. I became such a lover of their Greens and Oolongs that I brought back several pounds of various types on each trip, and was completely out before the next trip over. Unfortunately during those periods where I was out of tea I was reduced to buying the horribly inferior teas generally available here in the States. Ugh! Then I found Special Teas and their 618 Oolong, and I was saved. This tea is as good as the tea that I brought back, and (if I remember correctly) less expensive as well! Thank you Special Teas.

Reviewer: Jade from Tulsa,
This tea is OK but nothing special.

Reviewer: Lori,
This oolong is very good. I usually order Iron Goddess 515, but the catalog description for this oolong tempted me. While I'll stick to 515, every once in awhile I'll get this one for a treat.
