I will be reordering this! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, SHERWOOD ,OR November 27, 2007 I discovered Oriental Beauty (or Bai Hao Oolong as this site calls it) about 12-18 months ago. I got a sample of it from another source and absolutely loved it. I then tried to find that source as it came in a brown bag with just the name on it, no store name of where I got it (I order from many places and shop many stores.) I tried this one out to see if it compared. When I got this tea (#619) I had collected equivalent teas from about 5 other sources so I had a taste test among my family members. I did it as a blind taste-test and we agreed this was not the best source but it is good. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Richard , Goldman , Brookline ,MA June 13, 2007 This is perhaps my favorite tea -- my go-to when I don't have a hankering for anything else specific. A rich, complex taste, in many ways like a black, but not overpowering and no bitterness. Like another reviewer, I don't detect any cinnamon notes, but no matter. It rocks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A tea Drinker, BEAVERTON ,OR February 13, 2007 This tea has no flavor! I tasted it twice, on two different days, each time with a 3 minute brew. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Ken , Calhoun , Silsbee ,TX August 04, 2005 Very unique taste. Earthy or musty. Not “tea-like” exactly. With the addition of sweetener it is quite good, light almost refreshing even when hot. Delicious ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: A. Prince, Wonderful, sweet, mild oolong! I brewed quite a bit longer than recommended for a richer flavor with no bitterness. Definitely worth a try. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Steve, Perhaps my favorite tea. The fruity, honey and cinnamon notes are all there. I manage to get three to five infusions out of each set of leaves. This is the best Bai Hao on the market and I have tried several. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: T-bone, If you think most wulongs go a little bit overboard on flowery taste then this is for you. Everything red(black) tea wishes it could be without the overbearing flavor of more highly oxidized teas. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Josh's Mom, Wonderful hint of honey in the taste, and absolutely no bitterness! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Mark Trick, This fine tea has become one of my favorites. While I don't detect the cinnamon notes, I greatly enjoy the full fruit flavor. The aroma is flowery without being overbearing. The tea is good for 3 to 4 infusions. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Mark S., My favorite type of oolong at a great price. Beautiful leaves. Smooth, sweet taste. Multiple steeps that are forgiving about time and temperature. You can't go wrong. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: JEK, Bai Hao Oolong has beome our favorite breakfast tea, richer than many other oolong teas, but softerm more subtle, and more complex than black tea. We make two infusions from the leaves, allowing the second to steep longer than the first. ![]() |
