It's a great value. The flavor isn't especially interesting, but I don't have anything at all to complain about either. It's an excellent tea to sip through the afternoon, its gentle flavor is easy on the stomach and it withstands multiple brewings. Would make an excellent iced tea. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Astrid , Klocke , Flagstaff ,AZ March 02, 2007 They sent this as a sample. I won't order more. Not that it's bad, just bland compared to the Sencha Fine I got in the same order. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: matthew , edwards , norfolk ,VA August 20, 2006 Its like takeing a old green tea bag and seeping it for way to long. I didnt like its bitterness. But if thats what you like then this bancha is right for you. I didnt expect to much from a bancha anyways. I say stick to the good stuff. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewer: Eric, Very elegant clear vegetal and somewhat grassy flavor, with a light and pleasant astringency. Enough complexity to be highly satisfying. Unbrewed tea has a similar and fragrant aroma. Attractive light green/yellow color when brewed. Probably should not be compared with a fine sencha, since it is a very different flavor. Not bitter, and flavor persists in a second infusion (I have not tried a third). I am very pleased with this tea, and will buy it in a larger quantity (I tried a sample). ![]() |
