I only ordered a sample of the Honeybush Organic as I've never tried it before. I'm glad I did, as this tea neither has a taste or aroma that I enjoyed even slightly. I packed some for my husband to take to work with him, without telling him anything about my reaction to it. His response was similiar to mine, and he described it as tasting like something that the herbalist would give you to drink that was probably good for you, but tasted awful. I liked it less than that, and felt that it had a chemical taste to it. When SpecialTeas found out about my intense dislike of this product, they promptly sent me another sample packet of the Organic Honeybush to ensure that I had gotten a quality product. Alas, both my husband and I had exactly the same reaction to this second sampling as we did to our first. Although we were both dissapointed in the tea and apparently lack the taste buds necessary to enjoy this product, we were both very impressed with SpecialTeas response and with their customer service.

Alas, for me the honeybush was a washout. I couldn't get it to taste like much more than hot water with a faint sweetish hint. I guess my palate just doesn't react to this flavor.

Addendum to my review. This honeybush is definitely better than the one offered by a main competitor of SpecialTeas.

Yum! I like smooth and rich flavored darjeelings, china blacks and Formosa oolongs. Honeybush by itself or combined half and half with plain red or green rooibos is a worthy alternative to them.

Reviewer: John,
My wife enjoys Rooibos, but, for me, a large part of the experience is steaming up my glasses and enjoying the aroma. I found the Honeybush to be very pleasant smelling and much nicer tasting without sweetener. I thought it had nice, floral smell with a pomegranite-like earthy citric sweetness. Very pleasant alternative beverage.

Reviewer: Ruby,
After brewing my first pot of this, I found the aroma alluring. After my first cup, I found myself craving another and another, and kept drinking it until I had finished off about a quart of it. I love it!
