Perhaps I received a different batch to other reviewers, but I found that the smoke of the Lapsang in this blend completely overpowered the lychee to the point where I couldn't even taste the latter. I didn't like the strong smokiness of the tea when prepared as recommended (to me it tastes like someone had extinguished a cigarette in my tea), but found it was a lot more enjoyable when I mixed it with some 567 China Lychee in order to increase the lychee flavour and decrease the smoke flavour.

I have been brewing teas for more than 50 years, from many different suppliers including the big tea houses of London. This is my all-time favorite black tea.

This is not the caravan that I usually get. This batch tastes like I am drinking lychee tea not the caravan that I had in the past.Way too much lychee in this.Hope they check this out and fix it.

One of my favourite teas. I try other teas but keep coming back to this one. There's just something about it that makes me feel calm and renewed.

Reviewer: Daphne,
I was a little disappointed in this tea. It tasted and smelled like pure lichee china black. A touch more souchong would give it more body.

Reviewer: Mark S.,
If you know someone who enjoys flavored tea such as Earl Grey, or likes to add lemon to their tea, give them a cup of this. The slight-smoky character provides a good platform for the lemony lychee notes to ride on. My favorite when I am in the mood for a flavored tea. Outstanding price.

Reviewer: Jeff,
I was disappointed with this one. It must be the lychee. For me, it just had an odd flavor that really turned me off; it distracted from the flavor of the assam.
