I was so excited to get home from work because I knew my first shipment of tea from SpecialTeas would be waiting for me. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of this tea. My first clue that this tea was less than great was the fact that a great deal of dust went straight through my strainer and into the bottom of the cup when I poured in the water. I would say that a significant amount of this tea was dust and fannings, typically used in tea bags, and not often found in loose leaf tea. Upon tasting the flavor was bitter and harsh. I wasn't expecting an award winner from such a reasonably priced tea, but the quality was very disappointing... ***A NOTE FROM SPECIALTEAS: The leaf appearance described above is not by any means typical of any of our teas. After inspecting our current inventory, we can conclude that a packing problem occurred with several bags of 882 that were sold at that point in time. We have taken the necessary steps to correct the problem in-house. In keeping with our "satisfaction guarantee" policy, we have sent the customer a replacement bag of tea. We urge anyone experiencing a similar problem to contact us immediately so that we may do the same for them.***

I recommend this breakfast tea to anyone trying to start the day without caffeine. It has a very pleasing flavor. I do like the Earl Gray Decaf a little better but this is good.

This tea has the fullest flavor of any decaffinated tea I have tried. It's nice to be able to have a real cup of tea in the evening.
