it has a really strong cherry scent. it is somewhat an artificial scent, but i assume it is hard to have a natural cherry scented tea. it tastes like a regular green tea, there is not an additional cherry taste- just the scent.

I really like this tea. First off, it smells wonderful, I could bathe in this stuff. The taste I find to be mellow, with just a hint of cherry flavor. I tried a sample of it, I will reorder, this would be great over ice.

Way too much cherry. I liked the cherry sencha from republic of tea, (which is more expensive) so I tried this one, but it's overpowering and I couldn't cut the flavor. The flavor itself seems a little off, not just too much of it.

Very pleasant Japanese green with sweet high notes of cherry and just a hint of the rose petal. I couldn't have picked the rose petal out unless I knew it was an ingredient. Was not grassy and has a very complex profile for a green tea. Absolutely no bitter here at all even when steeped far longer than the recommended minute.

This is the first green tea I've ever tried that I liked, will definitely be ordering more. Has a pleasant cherry taste without that horrid boiled turf aftertaste. The only thing I have to mention...the smell of this tea reminded of something I couldn't quite put my finger one until about the 5th cup. Smells just like a tube of baby orajel!

This tea was a pleasant surprise. I honestly did not know what to expect, but as soon as I smelled it I knew I would love it! It has a wonderful cherry taste thats works amazingly well with the fragrant taste of their green tea. I will definitely be ordering a bunch of this tea!

My top favorite green teas are Japanese Cherry and Jazz Mint. I drink Japanese Cherry both hot and iced but brewed just as directed - any more makes it bitter. Japanese Cherry over a large glass of ice is absolutely wonderful and refreshing in the summer.

Wonderful aroma. My favorite if I'm in the mood for flavored tea. Lifts your spirits as soon as you open the storage canister as you're starting to make the tea. But not overpowering scent. I agree with all the other reviewers.

Mmmm...the smell of this tea divine. i couldn't stop sniffing it. the taste is even better. i usually make my tea a little bit stronger. i doubled the suggested amount of tea leaves and the cherry taste really comes through. i sipped it along with some indian sweets and the cherry taste got even more intense. will definitely purchase more.

Europeans say that the only two fruits that are worthy of making a top-quality eau de vie (fruit brandy) are pears and cherries. -- something about elusive qualities that these two fruits possess. Anyway, perhaps this helps explain why I am so fond of this tea. Along with a quality jasmine tea, it is the only flavored tea that I go for. And of the two, I seem to have a hankering for this one more often. (Now I wonder...Maybe someday they will come up with a white tea flavored with Bartlett pear.)

This tea is simply amazing!! The smell is intoxicating. . .heavenly. . .WOW!! This tea and the spring thunder green tea are the most amazingly flavored green tea I've ever had and I've been drinking green tea on a daily basis for about 5 years. I've tried all the green teas offered here and this cherry blend is by far one of the most flavorful. I adore this tea!! I'm so glad I found specialteas. . .if I hadn't I'd probably still be looking for the perfect green tea. HAHAHA!! Your search can end here, everyone!! Oh and one last tip. Drink this hot or iced with a bit of raw honey in it. The raw honey is better for you and it greatly enhances the tea's flavor.

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!! Amazing cherry taste and the smell of the raw tea leaves is SOOO heavenly. I could sniff this all day. This tea is VERY flavorful!! So if you're expecting a very mild cherry taste. . .you won't get it. Thats a good thing though.

Excellent tea both hot and iced. I ordered 1/2 lb of this tea to start with and am very glad that I did. The scent of this tea is fantastic, as is the taste. It is light yet very flavorful. This has become my favorite fruit flavored tea, and I will be ordering more.

I really like this tea. The cherry adds a bit of sweetness, but it's not overwhelming. It is a very smooth tea - I only taste a hint of astringency from the last cup in the pot. Leaves can be re-used to brew a second pot. This is going to be one of my standard teas.
