This Mate is one of my favorites, it is very leafy, not a lot of stem, it's doesn't have any dust. I would say a very high quality Mate. I also drink Guayaki, which has a unique flavor, but it has a lot of stems and dust. This mate doesn't taste smoky, which is a quality that many mates have, it must be air dried. I would highly recommend, for the price you can't go wrong. Regardless, get ready for the boost, it actually makes me warm and alert, but I have drank mate before bed, and it doesn't keep me awake. While I am drinking mate, I do not have the urge to eat or drink coffee. Enjoy!

The flavor is hard to describe, tastes very leafy and vegetal, with floral and fruity overtones. Completely different from anything else I have tried, including No. 963, Roasted Mate. You can’t make a mistake making it, it always smooth, never bitter, slightly sweet on its own, and will wake you up like nothing else will. At the price specialteas is charging, it is beyond a steal. I have since a similar bagged version of this product at a local natural foods store selling for $5.00 for about one ounce. A must try.
