149 Darjeeling Castleton FTGFOP1 (CL)
Castleton has long been one of our favorite gardens for top quality 2nd flushes. Due to the tremendous popularity of the estate, especially among Japanese and European (French) buyers, it has become increasingly difficult to get access to top harvests at reasonable prices. For this reason, we are happy to have this tea available.
This year's harvest is an extremely fine plucking consisting of tender, young leaves and buds. The cup color is bright and clear amber and the medium bodied liquor has a complex aroma and classic muscatel flavor.
Recommendations: Use 1 level tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water to a roaring boil; let steep for 2-3 min.
