705 Matcha Powder 30g Tin
Matcha is best known for its use in the Japanese tea ceremony. This top-quality matcha is produced by steaming, drying, and grinding top-grade green tea into a fine powder. It is traditionally prepared in a matcha bowl by adding hot (not boiling) water to the powder and rapidly beating with a matcha whisk until a thin layer of foam appears. The result is a cloudy green tea with a pungent, sweet-vegetal flavor. The numerous health benefits of green tea have led to new ways to incorporate it into our diets. Matcha makes the perfect ingredient for green tea cakes, frosting, lattes and of course, green tea ice cream!
Recommendations: For strong (thick) tea, use one level tsp. for 4 to 6 oz. of water. For medium (thin) tea, use half or one quarter teaspoon.
Place powdered tea in the matcha bowl, then pour hot water (not boiling) over the tea while whisking. Mix well.
