352 Himalayan Oolong
 Introducing the new 2009 harvest - even superior to last year's, which quickly became a favorite of both Darjeeling and Oolong connoisseurs. The sweet, aromatic, fruity character discloses its affinity to a top second flush Darjeeling. Visually, the leaf embodies a color spectrum ranging from auburn to gold to silver tips. The infusion is a golden amber cup with a flowery, fruity aroma that delivers clean, smooth flavor with natural sweetness and a wonderful, satisfying aftertaste. One of the top teas we have seen this season - a rare treasure!
Grown high in the pristine mountain air of the Himalayans, this remarkable semi-fermented Nepal tea combines the characteristics of a high-grown Darjeeling and a soulful Oolong. The oxidation process of this entirely handmade Oolong has been carefully monitored by the estate manager and stopped at about 40%, just at the peak of its aromatic bouquet.
Recommendations: Use 1 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water to just below boiling and let steep for 2 ½ - 3 min. Try a second infusion.

Health Benefits: Studies show that oolong tea, rich in antioxidants, promotes healthy teeth, skin and bones and can help to lower cholesterol, protect against heart disease and aid in digestion and weight loss. Since oolong tea contains a significant amount of polyphenol (known as tannin), it is believed to account for the lower risk of cancer in tea drinkers because of its ability to help DNA cells to accurately reproduce.
