The Magnolia Oolong is produced by scenting Oolong with Magnolia blossoms - not an easy task. First the Oolong has to be oxidized just long enough (in this case 25%) to have a delicate, floral flavor. Then all aspects of the scenting - blossom quality, scenting time, scenting frequency - have to be carefully watched to ensure that the scent perfectly compliments the Oolong flavor without becoming predominant. The result is a delicate, flowery Oolong with a truly natural scent.
Recommendations: Use 2 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh, cold water to steaming briskly (not boiling); let steep for 2-3 min.
