From the West Lake Region produced from the "Jiukeng" string, this is rare varietal produces an especially fragrant tea that is different in flavor from ordinary Lung Chings. The leaves of this entirely handmade Dragon Well are harvested in early spring and have an unusual silvery shine. Spurred by the slow growth early in the year, these leaves are typically full of aroma and brew to a soft, green cup. Delicious, round, nutty and naturally sweet, this tea will delight both the Lung Ching lover and green tea novice alike.
Partially due to the heightened popularity of the Dragon Well, it has become increasingly difficult to find good values. This unusual, small farm tea was a welcome find. See for yourself and please let us know what you think.
