Blended Teas
To maintain flavor, aroma, character and
price of a tea over longer periods of time, tea traders blend teas of different crops,
estates or even origins. It is thereby possible to combine the positive characters of
different teas.
A well balanced blend for instance can have much of the strength and color of an Assam,
the freshness and persistence of a Ceylon and the flowery notes of a Darjeeling.
The most popular blends are Earl Grey , English and Irish Breakfast Teas, Five O'clock
and Russian Caravan Teas.
