This fits a little too snugly in the matching teapot. A couple of weeks after I bought the set I left the teapot on the cup after draining the tea. After a few minutes I heard a pop and noticed that the glass on the cup had cracked. I guess the glass expanded with the heat of the tea, pushed against the plastic tabs on the pot, and cracked. So if you use this cup it might be wise to immediately remove the pot when the tea has drained... I'm using another (pottery) cup now, with a smaller rim.

This is my favorite mug. It fits a massive 18 oz of tea. I like clear glass so you can see the color of your tea. sturdy- so far so good. I think I'll get a couple more.
