SpecialTeas Tea Pot

Tea pot web sites abound. But few offer as beautiful a selection as special teas:

Japanese Cast Iron Tea pots (Tetsubin)
English Chatsford pots
Yixing pots
Jenaer Glass, Germany
Bodum Tea maker

You’ll also learn how to prepare the beverage. Preparing a good cup is neither difficult nor time consuming with teapots. Simply follow the five steps listed below. To ensure superior results, we have added specific brewing recommendations, which can be found in the list as well as on removable labels attached to the bags.

  • Use a preheated tea pot
  • Add the recommended amount of leaves per cup
  • Experiment with the leaf quantity as you go
  • For black and oolong teas bring fresh cold water to a roaring boil and pour it over the leaves. For white and green, use water that has just started to steam slightly. Some green, oolong and white varieties are good for multiple infusions - just add new hot water to the tea pot and increase the steeping time slightly.
  • Repeat until the flavor starts to fade.
